During the war the elegant building of "Rome" was destroyed and in 1956 a completely new, grand, six-story hotel building was constructed. Located in the city center, next to the historic and picturesque Verman Park, the historical Benjamin’s House was fully restored to become the Europa Royale Riga Hotel. Built in 1876, a most splendid mansion perfectly fit for the four star Hotel and was reconstructed in the same character in order to preserve the architectural charm of the building. This building is one of the most rare pergola example in historic architecture of the city. It cherishes history of Pfab nobility and Benjamin wealth in its memories. Sculptor August Folc, stained glass expert A.Kalert and painter Georg Vilhelm Timm were collaborated to beset the building.
